23" x 28"Acrylic on Canvas
Adam was a fellow Seattle bike messenger, and an all around awesome guy. Oddly enough, I think we both worked downtown together for at least 6 months before we ever spoke, but we quickly became good friends, and played in a band together for about a year.
He was the kind of guy who would do anything for anyone, or at least that's how he was to me. I remember one band practice, I had mentioned how much I hated my road bike frame. The next day he showed up with an awesome 1970's Bianchi frame that he could easily get a good chunk of money for, and just gave it to me. He refused to take any money for it, so I took him out for drinks after practice.
I saw Adam last October when I went back to Seattle for a few days. I had no idea it would be the last time I'd ever see him.
I'd like to thank his awesome girlfriend Caley for commissioning this piece, it was an absolute honor. I can only imagine the rough times she's been through in the past few months.
Rest in peace pal.
